Grow your mindset by training it like any other muscle.

We focus on training certain muscle groups, we make sure our muscles recover but a lot of us forget about the most important muscle of all, our minds.

More than ever we have seen a huge spike in people suffering from a negative mindset, unable to change into a positive one and most of the time its because they are focusing on training the wrong muscles or don't know what to do to make things better.

What do I mean by that? Well over the years I have learned to train my mind as well as my body, I learned that my mind needs training, it needs recovery time and needs the correct fuel just like my body does. I am not going to go to much into the science of it all as I like to keep it simple for my clients and others to understand.

➡️So how do you improve your mindset? Well check out my top tips below:

  1. Learn to switch off (Time out), resting from our days to days lives is super important, you can do this at the end of your day by having some downtime, reading or meditation.

  2. Find out what your strengths and weaknesses are, this will allow you to grow and strengthen the mind, for example dealing with stress etc.

  3. Fuel your mind, making sure you are hydrated and eating the right calories and macros for you is very important to the function of the mind, a well-fuelled mind can help you overcome the hardest days.

  4. Reading/learning, knowledge is a great way to improve the mindset and strengthen your knowledge as well, if you don't like reading you could still improve your knowledge by using ebooks, courses or podcasts.

  5. Learn to adapt, this is a big step and very important to grow your mindset to the next level, if you are willing to change and adapt so will your mind.

  6. Understand the truths, understanding that not every day will be a great day and sometimes your mind will be your worse enemy, if you come to terms with this, it will allow you to deal with the negative days better.

  7. Believe in yourself, even if at the beginning you don't, lie to yourself and soon enough you will start to believe it, overcoming doubt is and will be one of the hardest things to overcome.

  8. Positive people, surround yourself with people who will fill your mind with positive words, ideas and thoughts.

  9. Learn to speak up, keeping your troubles and stresses to yourself will find a way to take over, learn to release all the negativity and to remind yourself, its ok to not be ok.

  10. Introduce happiness, motivation and positivity in your daily routine, in the forms of music, videos, conversations or doing things you love.

  11. Be proud of who you are, this is one of my best tips of all, if you start to stand tall and be proud of who you are, you will be willing to put in the work to improve yourself.

Remember one thing, it won't be easy but it will be worth it because you are.
