Lauren loses 20kg during her amazing fat loss journey!

20-kilo loss and the best is yet to come!!

Our client Lauren smashes her goal by losing 20kgs and the best is yet to come, we didn’t just want to share a before and after picture, we wanted you to hear from Lauren herself and how she found her transformation journey.

Interview with Lauren Ward;

Full name: Lauren Ward                        Age: 21

What was the main reason for joining V2? I was looking to lose weight as well as focus on what I ate but also gain confidence in myself and body at the same time.

What was your starting weight? 99.11kg

What would you say was the biggest habit change you had to make? The biggest habit change I had to make was my diet. I found the exercise part fairly easy as I did this anyone but trying to calorie count and cut down on snacks and not give in to cravings was a MASSIVE challenge I had to face and overcome.

What was the best part of your fitness journey? The best part of my fitness journey was meeting new people at the gym creating new friendships but also being able to find the confidence that I had lost. Exercise became my happy place and allowed me to escape.

What was the biggest thing you learned about yourself during your transformation? I learnt that even when I feel like giving up and can’t focus on my goal that I can do it and can’t isn’t a word to use. We all have bad days but I learnt I can put these bad days behind me and start fresh the next day. We all need treats!

What would you say you struggled the most with? I struggled to stop snacking. Before I calorie counted I ate whatever I wanted without realising what was going into my body. When I started calorie counting I could realise what was going into my body. I really struggled to get out the habit of snacking but once I realise the lower calorie alternatives I got used to it!

Best workout/exercise? I LOVE a cycle class! 6 am or 6 pm I’ll be in a spin class!

How has your mindset changed since you started? Since I’ve started my mindset has changed massively. I would eat constantly have takeaways and snack. Now I allow myself to have a cheat meal but I no the importance of having a balanced diet with exercise too.

What words of advice would you give someone who is just starting out their fitness journey? YOU CAN DO IT! There is no such thing as you can’t do it and if you put your mind to it you can achieve anything. I sat here 4 months ago saying just another diet it won’t work and I’m stilling sticking to it 20kg lost later!

How much weight have you lost since you started? 20kg

What’s next? Keep it up! I’m still nowhere I want to be but I’ve come this far and know I can achieve my aim goal no matter how long it takes. Just keep going!
